Enzo G. Castellari – 1979 – Italy
Franco Nero, in a cumbersome long blonde wig held on by a
headband, plays a reclusive shark killer on a Caribbean
island who turns out to be in hiding from underworld characters. Seems his family was killed a few years
back, after which he tried to lose himself in the dangerous life of a
mercenary. There also happens to be a
bunch of money lost by a plane crash in the shark-infested bay where Nero lives
and works. The exotic locations and
underwater photography are the main appeal of this movie; everything else
is pretty cornball in a fun way.
