I’d
always heard about how awful this movie was, but it still blindsided me. It seems to be some kind of vanity project by
hideous, talentless writer-producer-director-star Tommy Wiseau. Apparently it’s become something of a cult favorite,
with fans attending special screenings to marvel at the film’s countless
glaring flaws. After about 15 minutes
I’d had more than enough of Wiseau’s bare body and so-called “acting,” and I
had no idea what the story was supposed to be about, but I had to keep watching
just to see how much worse it was going to get.
I suppose at least we can say that Wiseau has done aspiring filmmakers
everywhere a great favor, because no one need fear being called the worst as
long as he is alive.
