Nothing But the Night

Peter Sasdy – 1973 – England

I can't think of any other film I’ve seen that was so dull all the way through until the last five minutes, when it very briefly got interesting. This film was made the same year as The Wicker Man, which also starred Christopher Lee, and certain details of its finale are comparable to The Wicker Man, and those are the only things that intrigued me. This was the only film produced by Lee’s Charlemagne company, which went out of business since the film did so poorly.
